Fiesta

Christmas Eve we always do a Fiesta. No pinata, tequila, or sombraros or anything, but lots of fun Mexican Foods and family. With the continued bombardment of snow, many of our family members couldn't come. It wasn't worth getting stuck in the snow and ice despite the holiday! However, coming from two good sized families, Scott and I can always muster up someone to celebrate. And here is the calm before the storm....

Owen is enjoying something juicy. Aunt Carrie's cooking is so mouth watering.

Sophie wasn't feeling up to par, but she is enjoying a soft taco and being a good sport. She will pep up if she knows cousins are coming. And boy, do we have LOTS of those!

Keaton gives the food a 'thumbs up.' Whew. We aim to please here at Casa de Murphy.

Bekah is also enjoying her meal. She is eating now so she can build up her strength to get back to playing Polly Pockets.

Erin and Grandpa sharing a tender moment. She really wanted her picture taken with her Grandpa. Grandpa is so cheesy he was happy to oblige!

Wendy and Violet. How did Trevor and Wendy get all these blonde kids? Who knows?

Asher enjoying his time at the table. What? Your Aunt Carrie is funny? Oh Asher, DO go on!
Ella is what, 24 lbs wet? Mind you she'll be three in a few short months. It's good to see her dipping things into creamy sauces or dips. Anything to gain 1 lb. Too bad she was just dipping her finger and not the food. Oh well, we'll take what we can get!

And here's Mike totally posing for the camera. No, he does not usually try to stuff a whole burrito in his mouth! Hilarious.

Another fun Christmas Eve spent with our family. Even though not everyone could make it, we had a wonderful time! A houseful of kids and adults, good food, lots of laughs, entertaining antics....time to take a siesta after the Fiesta!
