Apples!

So for our Primary kids, we decided it would be fun to give them a little something for Christmas. We'd seen these cute, hand-dipped snowmen pretzel sticks. So, the four of us got together for a few hours and assembled these little guys...about 85 of them. They turned out great and with a little spanish influence as the hats looked like sombreros!
OLE! They are wrapped up and ready to go!
We also thought it would be fun to make carmel apples for our teachers as a way of saying thank you! Here is the white chocolate & milk chocolate ready to drizzle. We crushed pretzel sticks to roll them around in.

Here are the apples ready to be dipped.

And the homemade caramel which is perfection!
Here is the end result of the not so perfect batch because I cannot rotate the pictures of the more beautiful ones. Know this....these looked amazing in their clear cellophane and tasted so yummy. The picture doesn't do it justice, but these were HUGE! I can honestly say that with all the pain, mouth cuts and sores, there was one thing worth the wait after I got my braces off and that was caramel apples!
