Lucky!

With the depressing economy we decided that our best chance to pull out of it is to try and catch a Leprechaun! Man who couldn't use a pot of gold? Well, with still a young one around....I like to keep the hope alive. Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, Leprechauns....she will have many years full of responsibilities, job, and work-- why not have some fun? So, we set out to build a 'trap' to catch a Leprechaun, who by the way, is highly attracted to shiny, sparkly things and anything enticing. Also, Leprechauns are extremely SMART so....they don't just fall for ANY trap.

We got the idea to lure him with a movie theater. Did I mention FREE?? What Leprechaun would turn down a chance to view the lastest films to get an Oscar nod? I'm pretty sure most Leprechauns haven't seen Avatar! So....an hour later and this is what we got. The WHOLE family participated in some form and it turned out pretty cool.
If you'll notice the shiny bells on the top....EXTRA shiny--you know for a Leprechaun. Also there is a string in the middle with a piece of 'fools gold' attached.

That's a good lookin' theater don't you think? Okay, so it's not Theater Seating, but we're only trying to catch one for cryin' out loud!

Notice what's playing on the big screen.... Oh and what theater would be complete without some popcorn, candy, and drinks...all FREE of charge.

Unfortunately we did NOT catch our Leprechaun. They are quite naughty and so when he realized he'd been nearly caught, well, he created some havoc. Apparently when Sophie came down the stairs EARLY in the morning because she was so excited to see if she caught him, she scared him off and he left a few chocolate coins behind. Oh and some Lucky Charm cereal! Oh well, back to the ol' drawing board. Maybe next time, maybe...we will get LUCKY!
